Fantastic End of Term Activities!
I am sure parents and carers will agree with me that our students are the College’s very best ambassadors and have such a wide range of skills and talents. The end of term has seen an amazing set of activities where our students have performed brilliantly - the Year 10 Work Experience week, the Year 11 Celebration Assembly and Prom, the two Enterprise Days, the Music Concert and the STEM days are just a few of the events that our students have excelled in and which have received such positive feedback from external providers.
I am sure you are as proud of them as I am!
Heat Wave!
Just to repeat my message to you yesterday, given the reports of extreme hot weather for this week and next, I have decided that students can have the option of continuing to wear their College uniform or, if they prefer, they can wear their PE kit until the end of term.
I hope this option will make the situation a little easier for them. To be clear though, ‘mufti wear’ is not allowed, the only two options are College uniform or PE kit. Grateful for your support on this.
Reminder: Forthcoming Lockdown Drill
A reminder that as part of our routine safety procedures, we will be organising a College lockdown drill before the end of the current term. This is a procedure we carry out on an annual basis so that staff and students can experience safely sheltering in place at College and are prepared to do so in the unlikely event of an incident in or near the College (e.g. a chemical leak). For obvious reasons we are not publicising the date and time of the drill but I want to make parents and carers aware in advance in order to avoid any undue concern at the time.
